Poster - Art in Prison by Robert Proch

Surrounded by walls, gray blends into gray, and no matter where, concrete everywhere. In Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau, things are different: between autumn 2012 and spring 2014, well-known street artists from Switzerland created 4661 square meters of wall space in the prison there. A barren, cold concrete bunker was transformed into a lively and unique work of art.

Robert Proch also known as Tone, painter, animator, graffiti and mural artist. He graduated from Leon Wyczółkowski Fine Arts High School in Bydgoszcz in 2005, in 2010 he graduated from the Faculty of Multimedia Communication of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (specialization: animation), where he later also worked as a lecturer.

He is valued not only for his large format painting but also for his animated films. His achievements include three short films: Fugu from 2008, Virus from 2009 and Gallery from 2010, for which he received the second prize at the Animocje Animated Film Festival in Bydgoszcz (2012) and the award for the best animated film at the Curta Cinema International Short Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro (2011).

He was one of the most recognized Polish mural and street art creators of the young generation, who left his mark on many buildings in Poland and abroad. He was the only Polish artist to have a solo exhibition in 2014 at the London gallery of Steve Lazarides, a collaborator of Banksy.
