Poster - Art in Prison by NEVERCREW
Surrounded by walls, gray blends into gray, and no matter where, concrete everywhere. In Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau, things are different: between autumn 2012 and spring 2014, well-known street artists from Switzerland created 4661 square meters of wall space in the prison there. A barren, cold concrete bunker was transformed into a lively and unique work of art.
NEVERCREW is a swiss artists duo composed by Christian Rebecchi (Lugano, 1980) and Pablo Togni (Bellinzona, 1979).
Since 1996 their artistic path developed mainly in the urban art context with the realization of mural paintings, installations and sculptures. Their work takes shape worldwide and rotates around the concept of comparison connected to the relationship between humankind and nature and between humankind and “systems”, with a focus on environmental and social topics.
Size of the posters: 59.3 x 42 cm.
