Mano Negra (Spanish: Black Hand) was a French band founded by Manu Chao in 1987. 
At the beginning of the 1990s they were one of the most famous French bands. 
The band disbanded in 1994 after the release of Casa Babylon, in which other artists were also involved. 
Manu Chao started his solo career three years later.
