Nicolas Bamert aka L'Original brings dreary walls and barren objects to new life with colourful paintings. Whether a mountain railway station
Whether a mountain railway station or an aeroplane, a road or a locomotive, he transforms all sorts of things into unique works of art with cheerful patterns and lively colour combinations.
In the current issue of Layup Highlights magazine, we talked to the artist from the French-speaking part of Switzerland about his career, his dreams and where he lives in Montreux - and he designed this exclusive T-shirt for us.
"Layup is my main supplier since 2016, allowing me to realise my projects and share colour with the world. When you suggested I design a t-shirt, I immediately thought of our encounter a few years ago at the Vision Art Festival. There, I had transformed a water station into a house covered with colourful wooden boards. Combining the LAYUP logo with the material wood, as a symbol of trust, was obvious to me."
The black t-shirt comes with L'Original's design on the chest, hand-screen printed in bold colours on a fairly produced organic cotton t-shirt.
100% organic cotton, Fairwear certified.
