The diverse forms of expression of rap and hip-hop offer wonderful opportunities for discussion when working with young people. Youth work that is critical of racism and gender-reflective takes into account the fascination with hip-hop as well as critical confrontations with inhuman aspects of the scenes. This anthology argues for youth work with and not against hip-hop. It aims to provide background information, present best-practice approaches and methods and provide a concrete toolkit for people working in youth and social work.
