70 year old Idris Ackamoor was already active with The Pyramids from 1972 to 1977. Ackamoor combined the spiritual space jazz of Sun Ra with funk rythmics and live shows that bordered on performance theatre in their expressiveness. Since 2012 he has been reunited with his band and has been releasing LPs.
