The Berlin-based photographer Emmett Edelstein has launched an annual publication series that features his personal favourite selection of photos from one year in one zine. The only restriction is that the photo was taken in the respective year – the shown works could be older. All images are set as large as possible to see all the details.
“The cover shows a detail of a hard to find SAEIO piece. 2016 was a special year because SAEIO(†) from Paris was visiting Berlin and was very active with EXOT, CLINT176 or HEZHT throughout the city. And you could really feel the special connection and energy between these writers.”
Although the content of the 2016 issue is just a few years old, many of the shown works do not exist anymore. The city’s rapid change multiplies the already given short lifespan of each captured train or wall on the 52 pages.
