The jazz formation Boillat Thérace Quintet from French-speaking Switzerland, founded by pianist Jean-François Boillat and saxophonist Raymond Thérace, recorded two albums in 1974 and 1975. On both of them they play mainly compositions written by well-known jazz trumpeters like Benny Bailey, Kenny Dorham or Freddie Hubbard.
Like hardly any other Swiss jazz band at that time, they also invited American jazz greats to play concerts with them. The comparatively unknown Geneva jazz troupe performed with established stars such as Slide Hampton, Kai Winding, Bob Dorough and Benny Bailey (with whom they recorded their second LP).
