Youthsayers is a community project in south London, founded in 2016 by Robin Hopcraft and Idris Rahman from the legendary Afro-reggae band Soothsayers. Since then, they have been offering young people the opportunity to learn to play an instrument and make music for free under their guidance. The debut album contains interpretations of classic and contemporary music from the world of dub and Afro-jazz, including cover versions by Theon Cross, Fela Kuti, Cedric IM Brooks, The Fontanelles and of course the Soothsayers themselves.
