ULTHAR, is a comic from the Bernese underground, drawn by a local writer from Bern. With the aim of raising money for a criminal case, the limited edition of 250 copies is sold for the Good Cause.
Far from graffiti, this comic reels in and reinterprets the short story "Cats of Ulthar" by author H.P Lovecraft. Gritty drawings punctuate the atmospheric tales from the master of cosmic horror. ULTHAR was written and drawn in honor of all cats.
"For the cat is mysterious and familiar with strange things that man cannot see. She is the soul of ancient Egypt and brings tales from forgotten cities in Meroë and Ophir. She is heir to the secrets of ancient and eerie Africa. The Sphinx is her cousin and the Cat speaks her language. Yet she is older than the Sphinx and remembers what the latter has forgotten."
