Steve Spacek is something of a veteran, working for a long time both as a solo artist and with a number of collaborators. He released his first music some thirty years ago, before raising his profile at the turn of the century with the trio Spacek. More recently he has recorded as Beat Spacek for Ninja Tune (the heavy, weird Modern Streets) and as Africa HiTech with Mark Pritchard.
The nine tracks on this album, range from the feathery, jazzy opener "Rawl Aredo" to the tight but pretty "Songlife" and the strident closing track "Love 4 Nano", which features a blaring synth lead.
