Following the success of ‘Blauer Samt - Die Monografie’ in 2021, the second book from the same publisher, ‘Rotary Head’, is now being published with the title: ‘B-Boys makin’ with the Freak Freak’. This illustrated book, which will be published in 2024, contains impressive photos by Rob Hak, who has already designed many mixtape covers for 360° as well as the feature cover for Toni-L.
This book features incredible shots taken in New York featuring numerous hip-hop greats such as Torch, Melle Mel, IAM, Fabel, DJ Hollywood, TC Izlam, Great Peso (Fearless Four), Pow Wow (Soul Sonic Force), Lil Lep (New York City Breakers), Kool Koor, DJ Hektek (Bronxmob), Rival (CNN), Siba Giba (Get Open), Sticky Dojah and many more.
Torch about the trip:
‘In 2015, I decided to fly back to NYC. When I told Robert about it, he replied curtly: ‘I'm flying with you. I've never been to New York. Just book the same flight for me! To my surprise, that's exactly what happened. Our trip lasted from 9 to 21 April 2015 and went from Zurich to Newark. I had the contacts and knew my way around. He had the camera and captured everything. I was his guide on site and he became my eyes.’
