So steht im Intro dieses neuen Buches und dieses Zitat bringt es auf den Punkt! Wirklich annähernd frei/anarchistisch ist man erst, wenn man (u.a.) auch innerhalb einer Gruppe/Bewegung/etc., der diese Eigenschaften schon innewohnen, seinen eigenen Weg finden möchte und dies dann auch in die Tat umsetzt - und nach dem ersten Durchblättern sieht man schon, dass der Kollege mittendrin ist! Dies zeigt sich natürlich auch in seinem Graffitistyle, der schon immer unangepasst und zudem noch innovativ war. Der Meister der Bubbles ist, wer es noch nicht weiss, der “King of Milano” und wer einmal Mailand besucht und nicht an wirklich jeder Ecke ein Piece oder ein Tag von DUMBO sieht, ist entweder blind oder komplett bescheuert. Aber dieses Buch konzentriert sich nicht auf seine Graffitties, sondern zeigt vielmehr durch sehr atmosphärische und kunstvolle Fotos, Close-Ups und Ähnliches den Menschen hinter dem Pseudonym. Und wer könnte dies besser beschreiben als der Autor BARRY McGEE aka TWIST selbst: “Dumbo represents everything right in this world by doing everything we are told is wrong in a culture that rejects reality as it is given and creates a new reality entirely.”
